limited time offer
Do you want some del.icio.us stickers? Or a few del.icio.us bookmarks - the kind you put inside books? We have a surplus of dots here at the tag mines, and we’d like to distribute them more evenly around the world. To get some schwag, mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to the following address:
Yahoo! Inc.
c/o del.icio.us
2821 Mission College Blvd.
Santa Clara, CA 95054-1838
We’ll fill it with goodies and send it back to you. If you want to, include a note with your username, email address, and a comment or suggestion about del.icio.us: something you dislike, a story about how you use it, a feature we should add, or something like that. We’ll include a del.icio.us t-shirt for the people with the most useful and amusing notes, and they’ll entertain me while I suffer paper cuts from opening a zillion envelopes.

Yes, I reaally want some! :)
Wolf | Aug 17 2007 at 4:38 pm
What about mail from Europe? Or is this one of those U.S. offers ;)?
Carsten | Aug 17 2007 at 4:47 pm
Good question by Wolf. I’d like some of the stuff as well.
RinzeWind | Aug 17 2007 at 5:28 pm
Yeah, people from Spain (like myself) would also like some of those fancy bookmarks.
britta | Aug 17 2007 at 5:29 pm
I’m pretty sure international mail would be fine - you’d just need a few more stamps. :)
britta | Aug 17 2007 at 6:15 pm
Oh, I should clarify: that’s a toy apple and the stickers are about 3 inches long. :)
Rory | Aug 17 2007 at 6:51 pm
People from outside the US will have trouble with this offer. You’ll need US stamps to post them, but it’s hard to get US stamps outside the US and one couldn’t use local stamps as the USPS won’t take them (I assume)
Jens Alfke | Aug 17 2007 at 7:49 pm
Whoa, Britta, I had no idea you were a del.icio.us insider now!
Thanks for putting the apple in the photo. Without it, I would have thought the Komodo dragon was real, and so assumed the stickers to be the size of beach towels. Bumper-sticker size is more manageable.
Bibi | Aug 17 2007 at 11:18 pm
I want them, but I live in Brazil. Any idea of how can I get them without the US stamps? :(
Antonio | Aug 18 2007 at 6:47 am
Cool! Especially the paper bookmarks. I’m Italian: is there any chance to get them?
jurjendevries | Aug 18 2007 at 7:12 am
Hi, I’m from The Netherlands.
My idea is that del.icio.us ‘add bookmark / tag’ option also displays meta tags from the HTML header of the page you’re tagging.
At this moment I’ve to look to the page HTML source of the page I’m tagging within my browser and copy/paste them to the ‘add bookmark’ window. I’ll hope you’ll add a line called ‘Site keywords’ near ‘recommended tags’ and ‘popular tags’.
I hope this is a some nice del.icio.us stuff worth, lol, but don’t have US stamps here. Hope you have an alternative for that.
Henriette | Aug 18 2007 at 7:13 am
I’ll just ditto the rest of the comments. You’ll have to rethink your offer if you want to “and we’d like to distribute them more evenly around the world.” Getting US stamps outside the US should be pretty much impossible.

Some guy from Germany would really like to have some free stuff, too. But I asked myself that very same question: where do I get US stamps here to put them on that envelope?
Any chance if I send you just an self-addressed envelope?
Cheers,
deichkind

Try http://stamps.com to print off US stamps (they offer a free trial). You could use your spare US stamps to send off for Feedburner freebies too while you’re at it! http://www.consumingexperience.com/2007/08/delicious-and-feedburner-freebies.html

For international mail, you should be able to go to the post office in your home country and purchase international postage. I would imagine that your postmaster would be able to help you figure out how much to purchase, if you tell them what you are expecting to have sent back.
International postage should be available in post offices in all countries, and it is legal postage in all countries.

Can we send an A4 size envelope? Or is it fair to send a standard size envelope? If we have a tshirt, what happens?
gragganmore | Aug 19 2007 at 5:14 am
Ppl plz — INTERNATIONAL REPLY COUPONS any1? Ax 4 m @ ur locl post ofis.
Improbulus | Aug 19 2007 at 9:09 am
I suggested stamps.com because Delicious haven’t indicated whether they will or will not accept international reply coupons. It’s not just the money, it’s hassle for them - if you send them an envelope with stamps already glued to the envelope all they have to do is fill the envelope and seal it. If you send them IRCs they will have to swap ‘em for US stamps first, and they may not want to bother. It would be nice for those of us not in the USA if Delicious would simply confirm whether international reply coupons are OK or not.

HI
I am trying to establish the effect of blogging on company’s communications with their customers/stakeholders.
I.e. does the fact that it facilitates two-way communication
fundamentally alter the dialogue process?
I am doing the research as part of my dissertation for my course MA
Communications Management. It would help me greatly if you were to answer the short questionnaire below and send it to
r.crutchley@londonmet.ac.uk
Let me know if you require any additional information.
Kind regards, Rachel

Questionnaire on corporate blogging – please return to r.crutchley@londonmet.ac.uk Many thanks
Corporate blogging is a relatively new addition to the communications mix. In what ways do you think its evolution has affected corporations relationship with their customers/stakeholders?
In your view what role does corporate blogging play in the communications mix of organisations?
In your view what is the appropriate level of blogging in a company e.g. who (what level) should blog? How frequently?
What arrangements/safeguards (if any) are in place to manage your corporate blog? E.g. are comments censored before they are made live on the site?
Do you have, or have to adhere to any kind of corporate code when blogging?
Could you briefly outline how you feel blogs add or should add to the functionality of a company’s communication with its customers/stakeholders?
In your view as blogging becomes more widespread how can we ensure corporate blogs are effective and useful?
Please comment on the future of blogging and communications and anything else you feel relevant?
Please pass this questionnaire on to anyone else in your company that also blogs on the company blog.
Many thanks

hey.
what about for indians. we will send envelope to your yahoo bangalore office and we will get the goodies.
I think that will be good for us. any way you also know 1$ is 40Rs. in india. if i will send envelope to usa then it will be costly for us.
I think you got my point. :)
britta | Aug 20 2007 at 12:20 pm
OK, I think I underestimated our international popularity. :) I’ll check today with the mail office about what we can do. Also, A4-size envelopes would be great - in fact, the paper bookmarks almost don’t fit into standard envelopes. If we send you a t-shirt, we’ll package that up for you.
Murk | Oct 23 2007 at 8:25 am
I asked in two (count ‘em… one… two…) UK post offices today. They suggested international reply coupons… but for a letter. I said it’d be A4 sized, mass as yet undetermined (though I estimated a number) - they said they couldn’t tell me how much to put on even if my estimate was accurate as they don’t know exactly what the US postal rates are!
Whoops.
Murk | Oct 23 2007 at 8:26 am
Hmm… I’ve just looked at the date again. Why did I only *just* get this in my RSS feed in the last day or so? Ah well… these things happen.
Britta Gustafson | Oct 23 2007 at 1:14 pm
We changed the URL of the blog from http://blog.del.icio.us/ to http://blog.delicious.com/ a couple days ago, so things may be a bit odd temporarily. Anyway, we can still send you stickers! Just email us at feedback@del.icio.us with your mailing address and we’ll put an envelope in the mail for you.

Why don’t you add to del.icio.us the posibility to send some mails to other users?? Some contact way, would be great.
Greeting from Barcelona, Catalunya, Spain.
harshit | Nov 16 2007 at 1:47 pm
well as per the rules given here. i believe that you del.icio.us and all the yahoo group people are not so close to people round the world this is the point where Google stay ahead of you.
You people had opened up the company, but you had not thought of such a simple thing there under the rules made by your team there would not be the possibility of mailing you from the countries like india. Where there lies no scope of getting the american stamps. You must have done some of the ground work before posting the matter on the official blog of Del.icio.us.
Neways my sincere suggestion to del.icio.us is that you must open some of the officies in fastest devoloping countries like INDIA .. whose software engineers are designing a total new world …
Just thing about India … Del.icio.us you will find the best mind in the world to work with you and about t-shirts just make such option that i can be available to all the users round the globe no matter where he is located that will increse the social attachment of your company and will make you more closer to the user. like one can have some of the languages option in del.icio.us which is not at all seen over here.
Come up with the language support.
Well if you find my suggestion to be the good ones . Just send me the prizes mentioned here like t-shirt.. only if the suggestion is worth.
My mailing address ill send you (if any) just drop me a mail for the same.

I was wondering if there is a way to better organize the bookmarks? Can I make folders or arrange them in categories somehow? If so can you email me and let me know how? If not can you work towards that?

I love delicious. It makes my life so much easier. I want to get stickers for all my students so we can make a collage and put in in our school for all the teachers to see.
Roy | Jan 27 2008 at 5:09 am
It would be good to be able to impose ones own order on the bookmarks within a tag rather than have them sorted by ‘date added’. It would be good to have the choice to order by date added or by ones’ own allocated numbers. That way if you have a long list of sites for a tag the most important can be listed at the top.

Hello there. I just ran into this post. I notice this was posted a whole years ago, well a few months ago but still, that would still be under 2007. Meh, anyways, I’m a delicious user with plenty of gratitude for the site and its concept. This is one of, now, yahoo’s best services and an an old old users of Yahoo’s Bookmarks and My Web [now My Webs 2.0] I really don’t why they even keep those services running. Delicious is the best thing that has ever happen to web bookmarking and sharing websites with friends an a community ever.
I wondering if the Bookmark and sticker offer is still up and running. I know is limited and given the time when this post was made, hmmm most likely it isn’t, but that doesn’t stop me from asking and a yahoo-delicious representative from informing me/us about it.
I’ve been using Delicious for a year or so now directly from the Firefox-delicious add-on with great satisfaction. And given its well integrated capabilities, it most likely it is the main reason I didn’t get to find out about this post, since there isn’t much of a need to stop by the website itself. I have many good experiencing and suggestion that I would like to share regardless if the t-shirt offer is still on or not. I just would love to have one of those bookmarks and a sticker.
Thanks.
Anyways, if
