delicious to go
We’ve just launched a mobile version of Delicious. You can find it at http://m.delicious.com. This is a beta and represents our first real dabbling in mobile browsing, so we’ve started conservatively. The site is designed to work on as many devices as possible, although YMMV.
Delicious Mobile enables you to sign into your account and browse your bookmarks, tags, inbox, and other data. You can also browse popular and recent bookmarks and tags from the Delicious community. This means you can:
- Ditch your phone’s bookmarks — they’re too hard to keep updated, organized, and synchronized. Just use your Delicious bookmarks instead!
- Tag-stalk on the go — use your Network to follow what your friends are reading, no matter where you are.
- Break the tedium — browse the tastiest bookmarks on the Web next time you’re standing in line to buy the new Guns N’ Roses (wait, people still buy CDs?).
Next up on our to-do list is to integrate our social search engine into the mobile site. We welcome your feedback on what you’d like to see in the future, so let us know what you think.

Well, it’s working fine no my Samsung Instinct, so that’s a big plu in my book. It does make me realize how much I need to clean up my bookmarks though. What a mess.

Looks great. I noticed the “Go To Tag” input box allows multiple, space separated tags to be inserted, and does NOT (thankfully) breadcrumb the tags after the search, much like the old version of the Delicious site. I much prefer this to happen as opposed to the now automatic breadcrumbing that occurs on the new site.
The reason for this is that if you want to do a NEW search / tag filter from scratch, you do not have to X-out the existing, breadcrumbed tags, which takes a bit of time as well as a few clicks. It’s much easier to just wipe out the tags in the box and type new ones in which will start from scratch.
Can this feature be brought back to the main site as an option perhaps so that people can choose whether or not they wants their tags to automatically breadcrumb in the filter bar. I believe power users, such as myself, prefer the links not be breadcrumbed, or at least to start an entirely new set of tags to filter by much more easily.
Thanks!

Altough it’s a basic version I do like it!
I would love to see the mobile browser plugin :D

Certainly a step in the right direction. I’ve been pining for a Delicious mobile service for ages now so this is definitely going in the bookmarks.
One thing that I’d find really useful is mobile detection when storing a bookmark from another website, or even mobile detection on a referral. I’m often out and about, browsing other mobile sites and want to flag links for later. Could this be implemented at some stage?
Nice work otherwise.

Looks good in IEMobile 6.8. Suggestions:
* More bookmarks. 10 is good but I always view 100 at a time.
* Show tags per bookmark.

Looks good over here (iPod touch 1gen). Hope you don’t have to log-in every 2 weeks like you’ve to with the Safari bookmarklet.

Nice. Would be nice if there was a richer mobile version for more capable mobile browser. Maybe even a bookmarlet that worked in the iPhone.

Definite good start, though this iteration obviously caters to older, simple mobile browsers. Hope to see a rich web app or native app for modern mobile systems like the iPhone and Google Android. Keep up the good work!

Looks fugly ;-)
Yet, it is functional.
I have created an iPhone (viewport 320 width) version based on the Delicious API and json feeds on http://delicious.allabout.be. Looks better imho and works easy. It has more features as well.
I tried to send it to you guys several times, but never got a response. Feel free to have a look at it (and steal from it :d).

Forgot to mention: it has a bookmarklet for safari as well. Bookmarking works pretty easy I think…

I’ve just found this story, which is exciting news as I’ve been wanting to use delicious bookmarks on my PDA.
It’s a shame that it hasn’t been publicised better, why put a link to it on the home page?

Mobile is where it all is heading, and delicious is definitely on the right track identifying this and rolling out a mobile application. To be bound to a bulky desktop PC, or even a laptop or netbook is silly when you can have a fully portable mobile device in the palm of your hand.
